portraitBrendan Anderson graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition in 2002 from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN where he studied with composer Carol Barnett and was awarded with the college's Hognander Family Music Scholarship, the highest musical honor the institution has to offer. Throughout his college career, he composed numerous works for concert band, choir, and various chamber ensembles. His compositions have been performed across the U.S. and internationally, and he has appeared as a guest composer and conductor with high school and college ensembles across the country. In 2003 and 2004 Anderson studied film scoring at UCLA's Entertainment Studies program in Hollywood. He has composed music for numerous short films, animations, televison spots and documentaries. His score for the short film, "Picket Guy," was nominated for Best Original Score at the 2005 168 Hour Film Festival in Los Angeles. Anderson also maintains a performance schedule as the conductor of the Ahwatukee Foothills Concert Band in Phoenix, AZ, is the Worship Team Coordinator at Highlands Church in Scottsdale, AZ, the Project Manager and IT Coordinator at Neurologic Music Therapy Services of AZ and a Digital Media Consultant for The Phoenix Symphony.
